Ace Week 2020

This coming week, October 25-31, is Ace Week, formerly Asexual Awareness Week. It is a week dedicated to raising awareness and understanding for those who are asexual and aromatic.
Ace is an umbrella term for individuals who may identify in a variety of ways:
Asexual – someone who doesn’t experience sexual attraction toward any gender.
Aromantic – lacking interest I o desire for romantic relationships
Demisexual – lacking sexual attraction towards any person unless one becomes deeply emotionally or romantically connected with a specific person.
Asexuality is not a gender identity, it is not a fear of sex or relationships, and it is not synonymous with celibacy.
