As February is Black History month, I wanted to reiterate a few things I have said in the past that bear repeating:

• Black Lives Matter movement
• Black Trans Lives Matter
• Black history is American History
• I acknowledge I have unearned privilege because of my skin color
• It’s my responsibility to work to continually unlearn internalized anti-Black sentiments
• It’s my responsibility to call out racism, even when no Black people are present
