Boundaries
Boundaries don’t fail.
We can fail to share our boundaries.
We can fail in following through on enforcing our boundaries.
But when someone doesn’t like or respect our boundaries doesn’t mean they’ve failed.
Just because you feel uncomfortable when setting a boundary or uncomfortable with how others respond to your boundaries, doesn’t mean that they’ve failed.
Often when we feel our boundaries have failed it’s because we want to control others’ behaviors or feelings.
But boundaries are about our own behaviors and should involve consideration of what we will do if someone violates our boundaries.
