If your friend or family member shares they have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID or OSDD), please know that asking them questions about their system or parts is extremely intimate and personal.
There is a lot of misinformation out there about dissociative disorders. Much of what you see depicted in the media is distorted, sensationalized and inaccurate.
If someone you loves shares with you that they have DID or OSDD, please know that they are taking a big risk in trusting you with this information. So, do your own research to understand DID. You can checkout my bio for a link to a page with information and links to help educate yourself.
If you want to ask your loved one questions get their permission first, and don’t treat them like a weirdo or some freakshow exhibit.
