National Coming Out Day

From this cishet ally, to all the LGBTQIA+ folx out there:
- I see you, I believe you.
- I will support and defend.
And to fellow non-community members….
It’s important to acknowledge that queer folks and their rights are currently under attack.
The trans community in particular is being targeted and made the scapegoat for the ills of this nation.
We need to step up and do more.
Coming out & being visible queer and/or trans now is dangerous.
Allies need to use our privilege to advocate where we have power, to put our money where our mouth is in this fight, & to put ourselves between them and those who would cause them harm.
It’s time for us to come out of the closet of denial and the ease of hiding in the dark.
