New Years 2025
Welcome to 2025
In an effort to help you start the new year off right, let me offer these gentle suggestions and/or reminders.
You do not need to become a new or better version of yourself.
Your job on this healing journey is to learn to love and accept all of you, just as you are right now.
You don’t need to set New Year’s resolutions.
If you do make a resolution, I would encourage you to start small so as not to overwhelm yourself.
The smaller the goal, the more achievable and sustainable. Then once you’ve achieved or made a good start at this goal, you can add another if you want.
Remember that so much of what people post about their achievements and goals is curated to present a certain picture and often does not show the totality of their experience, the messy bits or the failures.
It’s okay if you are not excited about the new year or have mixed feelings.
It’s okay if all you did last year was survive, sometimes that’s all that we can do.
You deserve to heal.
You deserve good things.
You deserve a life you are comfortable in.
You deserve to be loved just as you and to have people who accept and support you.
You deserve rest.
You are deserving.
