If we want to have a just, ethical, or loving society we cannot turn away from others’ suffering.

There is too much hurt, pain, suffering and trauma. And it is a lie that these are problems that are too big for us to change. Those beliefs feed into a feeling of helplessness and hopelessness.

But any change starts with us. Do you turn away from your own suffering? Are you able to be compassionate with yourself, and all the earlier, younger versions of you? Can you offer that compassion and caring to those around you?

Each act of kindness and compassion causes a ripple of effect around you. You can effect change, but not if you turn a blind eye to pain and suffering.
