Courage is something I see every day in the people I work with, and it is not usually the courage that is applauded in the movies. It is much quieter and more profound. It is the courage to try and try again to get better. It is the courage to be true to yourself, when the world is telling you not to. I see the courage it takes courage to try new and different ways of handling things, the courage to let go of unhealthy others, or to set a boundary with those we love. Healing does not happen overnight and it takes courage to face our fears and learn how to overcome them. Have courage my friends! You can do this, I believe in you! And if you find you need help as you start your courageous journey, contact a therapist.
