    Society in general and social media in particular reinforce this idea that what we see is what matters. But we are so much more than our looks or our profile pic.

    It is who we are, our values, our heart and soul that really matter.

    But how clearly we see people for who they truly are will depend a lot on our experience, especially our experiences growing up. If you had a healthy enough up-bringing then we can see people for who They are fairly clearly.

    But if you grew up in an abusive or toxic home what you judge as love or the motives of others may be a bit skewed.

    Thus can be modified by experiences in adult and of course through therapy and good old fashioned self work
