• Quote by Colette Lord

Okay my people, we need to do better. So stop asking your black and brown friends, neighbors, or coworkers to do this emotional labor for you.

First of all, it is not their job or their place to educate you. Each of us needs to take responsibility to do this work ourselves. At this point in history, there is a large literature out there on the subject and countless moves, podcasts, articles and books to choose from to help educate yourself.

Not only that, this is again an example of white privilege and being oblivious to the fact that people of color are likely having a lot of emotional reactions, vicarious trauma right now around this issue.
