Quote by Frida Kahlo
Have you ever felt alone and strange? I know I certainly have. I can remember times when I struggled with this sense of being different and how comforting it would be if I cam across an author when spoke to that part of me and I felt a little less alone.
It is so sad to me that so many of us feel alone, even when surrounded by people. Sometimes it is depression, anxiety and low self-esteem that keep us from reaching out and connecting. Many times, it is due to having grown up in an abusive, toxic, or neglectful home. For those in the LGBTQIA+ community it can be even harder given society’s hostility.
But know that you are not alone, there are others out there who are strange, or different just like you. And if they aren’t JUST like you there are people out there who can and will love you for the unique person that you are, no matter how strange you think you are.
And maybe let’s all try to appreciate our differences just a bit more and remember we are all a bit strange and in need of love and validation.
