    And these are simply generalizations. All people of any gender contain some combination of all the traits above. None of these characteristics are the sole domain of a particular gender.

    That is why you see campaigns trying to normalize men having emotions, struggling and needing support, or crying. These are normal things for men to do.

    Our society’s preference for masculine things, has also influenced who experiences violence in the trans and gender diverse communities, it’s the ones who appear feminine.

    A part of addressing transphobia is going to be addressing the patriarchy as well as toxic masculinity.
