Wonder Woman Quote
I think sums up our current state of affairs pretty well.
I am not sure if any of us has an idea of where we will be tomorrow – mentally, emotionally, spiritually – with what is going on in the world.
But we must accept that each new day brings new challenges to us. Most of us don’t do well with uncertainty and if you had mental health struggles before the pandemic, you are likely struggling more so.
As we therapists keep saying, be gentle with yourself during this wacky time in our lives. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself and get through.
And this too is what I am seeing so consistently, people rising to meet the challenges that we are all facing. Some of those are folks who are doing volunteer work, sewing masks and donating goods and time. But it also folks who simply get out of bed and try to face the new day. It is the parents who never expected to be teachers stepping up to do their best, and who know that their kids’ mental health and well-being is more important than any lesson plan.
You are amazing and inspiring, even if you don’t see it.
